Mr. Mohsin, one of the members of Mungbean Producer Group of Manpura, Bhola. He has been growing Mungbean for last 15 years but has very limited knowledge and information on improved production practices. After becoming a member of Mungbean Producer Group at Manpura he has participated training on Improved Production and Post-harvesting Practices of Mungbean. He has followed all the modern practices he learned from the training and he was delighted to see the result. He has reported that the training helps him to gain 3 times more production then last year.

OSS as an implementing partner of DAI’s USAID-funded Bangladesh Agricultural Value Chains (AVC) project, is working to enhance the technical capacity of farmers on the Mungbeans production systems to increase adoption rate of tested and improved technology like BARI 6, access to quality inputs and extension services during the season and serving the growing mungbean market in the region. Through these contracts OSS will exclusively aim to introduce and promote BARI-6 variety of Mungbeans among total 7,000 farmers in Manpura Upazila under Bhola district of Barisal region.
